Abstract Submission

EVERYONE who wants to participate in the conference is asked to submit a short abstract of their presentation given at the conference. In the end all the abstracts will be combined into a small book which each participant will receive at the conference.

The presentations should be 10 minutes (max. 15 minutes) long and be held in English. You can present your current project or any other scientific topic you feel comfortable with. No problem if you are at the beginning of your PhD, a description of your project and your future research plans are just as interesting. Young PostDocs who have recently earned their doctoral degree are also given the chance to participate. Please note that these talks might not be considered in case of time shortage on the presentation days.

Guidelines for the submission process:
  • fill in the required information about title, authors (everyone who contributed to your project; your name should be first, your group leader's last and everybody else comes in between)
  • name your department and work group
  • in the abstract field only paste the body of your abstract (without title, authors, etc.)
  • the length of your abstract should not exceed 2000 characters (about ½ A4 page)
  • submit the abstract as plain text without format details and separate paragraphs with an empty line, do not submit any graphics
  • the deadline for submission is: May 2nd, 2005
  • after submitting your abstract it is not possible to re-post it
  • please submit only the final version of your abstract.

Daniela and her subcommittee put together a few tips on"How to prepare an abstract" which might be helpful for some of you.

The abstract submission is closed now!
