Plant Science Student Conference 2008
After two IPK Student Conferences in 2005 and 2006 last year the Plant Science Student Conference took place in Halle and was organized by the PhD students of the IPB in Halle. This year the Plant Science Student Conference 2008 will be held at the IPK again.
As in the last years the conference will be again three days full of fascinating talks, poster sessions and social activities. Beside PhD students of the IPK also PhD students of the IPB in Halle, the Max-Planck-Institute in Golm and the Federal Research Centre for Cultivated Plants - Julius Kuehn Institute in Quedlinburg are welcome.
This year our conference is enriched by Prof. Dr. Marc Zabeau (European Federation of Biotechnology EBM/ University of Ghent, VIB), PD Dr. Frank Kirchhoff (Max-Planck-Institut of Experimential Medicine, Göttingen) and Prof. Dr. Axel Brennicke (University of Ulm). The topics of their presentations will be announced as soon as possible.
There will be prizes for the three best talks and posters which should encourage all of you to give really great talks and design nice posters. The first two talks and posters are sponsored by "Bundesverband Deutscher Pflanzenzüchter e.V." (see sponsors page). The third prize for talk and poster will be provided by a private person. The decision about the best talks and posters will be taken by a jury consisting of 3 - 5 members.
As a social highlight we will have again a hiking trip to have the opportunity to get in closer contact with each other! We will visit Burg Regenstein - a medieval castle near Blankenburg. For closing the conference we will have an amazing party!
The complete program is online!
